This very special handcrafted Brunello comes from a small and beautiful Southwestern single vineyard in Montalcino. A normal vintage produces only 300-400 cases of this intense Brunello; considered to be one of the greatest wines of Italy. Owner, winemaker and label artist, Rudi Cosimi continues on with his family’s winemaking heritage. The Cosimi’s are a family of local winemakers, not foreign millionaires, and have lived off the land for generations.

Rudi has perfectly-placed high altitude vineyards to soak up just enough Tuscan sun with cooling breezes to produce grapes that are always perfectly ripe and deliciously complex. He uses a mixture of small and medium French barrels for aging.

The 2004 Terra Rossa Brunello is BEAUTIFUL! 2004 was another warm year; therefore the higher altitude vineyards are making the best Brunellos of this vintage. Gloriously aromatic, it boasts aromas of spice cake, milk chocolate and blackberries. With prosciutto-like game notes overlaid with exotic Tuscan smokiness makes this wine big, beautiful and ripe. Great structure with ample red fruit with sweet tannins. This 2004 vintage takes it up a notch in both flavor and ripeness. This is a soft, succulent, classic wine! The 2004 Brunello is an ideal wine that no wine drinker should be without.
