Robert Parker/Wine Advocate
"The 2015 Chianti Classico Bottesola N. 46 is a wine made from a single cask *from 90% Sangiovese with smaller parts Colorino and Canaiolo). That vessel (botte number 46) reveals more contouring and tightness (compared to botte number 27 also tasted here). It shows focused aromas of wild cherry, plum and dark spice. You still taste that fruity exuberance that comes from the hot 2015 vintage, but this wine is slightly more contained, subdued and elegant overall. I am giving this wine a slightly longer drinking window compared to the other wine, although the two are very similar. Only 2,666 bottles were produced / 444 six-packs. No. 46 - 28 months in French Barrel #46."
